Fishing

They offer some of the best walleye, northern pike, or perch fishing and many opportunities for those "the one that got away" stories! Whether you want to fish from a boat or on shore or try your luck ice fishing, we offer some of the best fishing around!

Fishing licenses are valid from April 1st one year to March 31st the following year.  Some area waters and species may open and close at different times. The North Dakota regulations can give you specific dates for season openers. There is a link to the ND Game and Fish Department in our Links section.

Darkhouse spearfishing has been added this year to the winter season for Flood Lake in LaMoure County. The season will run from December 1st through February 28th of each fishing year. Legal species are northern pike and nongame species. Northern Pike is the main target for spearfishermen. Registration with the ND Game and Fish Department is required to participate in the sport of darkhouse spearfishing.

Small lakes, dams and rivers in the area offer year-round fishing opportunities for the avid angler. They offer great opportunities for your children to experience a family day of fishing.  Imagine the look on your child’s face as they reel in that big one!

Find your favorite fishing spot at one of the many locations we have to offer, pack up a lunch with your family, or take off with the guys! Whether you are looking for northern pike, walleye, perch, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, crappies, or bluegills, boating or icefishing, you are sure to find that "whopper!"
