2023 Alumni Banquet Photos

On Friday, June 16, 2023, Edgeley Alumni President Gina (Musland) Dahl, Class of 1988 welcomed the Alumni to the 103rd Edgeley Alumni Meeting and Banquet. Everyone Stood as Taryn Hartman sang the National Anthem. Approximately 165 people were in attendance and were served a delicious meal by the Edgeley-Kulm FFA Chapter.

Joe Neis greeted and welcomed the Alumni back home. He said the city has changed somewhat and it was a great loss when the Elevator burned down. He talked about all the events happening in town for the Alumni Weekend. His hoped everyone would have a good time celebrating!

Superintendent of EHS, Tyler Hanson welcomed the Alumni back for their 103rd Alumni Banquet. It gives everyone a chance to connect with their past and make new connections for the future. EHS Graduates have gone out and done great things and we are all proud of each and every one of you. He thanked the Alumni board for their hard work and thanked all the alumni for coming and whished everyone a safe weekend and safe travels back home.

President Musland-Dahl invited all of the veterans in the group to stand. As they stood, applause filled the gym honoring each and every one of them for their service to our country.

Marv Schulz, (Class of 1965) gave the invocation. Being thankful for the chance to be together and celebrating the memories makes this weekend a success.. He talked about how the alumni has sustained this organization for over 100 years. He prayed that we can continue to always carry on this traditi.

The Presentation of Gifts was given out to one member of the Class of 2023, Gracie Syversen and her grandmother, Carleen Syversen, (Class of 1967).

The 2023 Alumni Scholarship was awarded to Norah Entzi

Carleen (Nelson) Syversen, (Class of 1967) gave the membership report. With the addition of the Class of 2023’s 16 graduating members, our total has reached 2,849 graduates from EHS since 1908. The Class of 2023 is the 115th Class to graduate from EHS.   All of the graduates from 1908 to 1939 are deceased. There are two living from the Class of 1940 – Bethy (Ham) Lee is doing well and resides in California and Eleizabeth (Welder) McIntyre is 110 and is also doing well. She also resides in California. The Class of 1942 has one living member, Edith (Ellings) Laning and is 99 years old. Violet (Schardin) Podenski was the oldest member at this year’s s banquet from the Class of 1945 and she turned 95 this year.

Roll Call was taken. Members of the Honor Classes spoke briefly about their class history and the members that were present for the Banquet.

There is one change in the slate of officers for the next year on the EHS Alumni Board. Megan (Klund) Weichel will be the Secretary. The other Board Members, President Gina (Musland) Dahl, Vice President Jason Gross, Co-Treasurers Heidi (Heim) Larson and Amie (Heim) Oette.

With no old business and no new business, the meeting was adjourned.
