CITY UTILITY POLICY & WATER, SEWER RATE CHANGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2024

The City of Edgeley has approved a change in policy regarding utilities effective January 2024. The following policy will be in place with all residential homes, buildings, and commercial buildings that have a curb stop and have a water and sewer line in place to the building will be required to pay the minimum water, sewer, and garbage rate. If the curb stop is shut off for nonpayment the minimum bill remains in place. Failure to pay the bill will result in the placement of the bill on the property taxes of said location. Also starting January 1st a new rate structure will be in place. Costs for water and sewer have increased and the city council has increased the per thousand rate for water by $.50 per thousand to $5.45. The sewer base will increase by $3.00 to $16.00 for usage up to 2,000 gallons.
